ORLANDO - The UCF soccer programs will be celebrating past, present and future when they host Soccer Alumni, Family and Friends Weekend on Friday and Saturday.

"This weekend gives our players the chance to connect with the past and understand who it is that they are representing," said UCF men's head coach Brent Erwin, who is in his first year with the program.

The festivities begin on Friday at 1 p.m. with a golf tournament at Stoneybrook Golf Club. The Golden Knight men then take on Swedish professional team GAIS in a 7 p.m. match at the UCF Soccer Field. Admission to the game is free and open to the public.

"Our alumni weekend is my favorite time of the spring season," said women's head coach Amanda Cromwell. "We get to spend time with players who built this program and they get to have fun playing against the current UCF team. There is a lot planned this weekend...golf, soccer and a barbeque at the alumni center."

On Saturday, the activities continue at 10 a.m. with the women's alumni game followed directly by the men's alumni game at noon. The weekend culminates at the women's and men's alumni barbeque at the FAIRWINDS Alumni Center at 1 p.m.
