ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF women's soccer head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak signed a one-year contract extension that will keep the three-time American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year with the Knights through the 2022 campaign.

With a total of 22 conference championships and 21 NCAA Tournament berths, the Knights have enjoyed a long-time reputation as one of the best programs in the country.

Roberts Sahaydak, who will begin her sixth season at the helm in 2018, has not only fostered that standard of excellence, but has also continued to raise the bar.

Last season, the Knights posted another championship season under Roberts Sahaydak, going unbeaten in The American to clinch the regular season title. The Black and Gold finished the 2017 campaign with a 13-2-3 record, the most wins since the 2014 campaign. Returning to the United Soccer Coaches poll, UCF climbed as high as No. 6 and finished the regular season ranked eighth. The Knights posted a 16-match unbeaten streak, the longest since the 2013 campaign.

Under her guidance, the Knights have earned four American Athletic Conference Championships and appeared in four NCAA Tournaments, including a bid to the Sweet 16 in 2014.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak leading our women's soccer program now, and for the foreseeable future," said Dr. Daniel J. White, UCF vice president and director of athletics. "Her background in the sport and vision for our program gives us great confidence that we can continue building a national power here at UCF. I couldn't be more excited about the future of UCF women's soccer under Tiffany's leadership."

Since Roberts Sahaydak arrived in 2013, UCF has boasted 12 conference Player of the Year awards, 41 all-league and all-tournament selections and three NWSL Draft selections. Also during her tenure, the Knights have broken program records for wins in a season (18; 2014) and unbeaten streak (18 matches; 2013).

Moreover, the Knights have achieved great success in the classroom as a recipient of the NSCAA Team Academic Award in four of the last five seasons. The squad posted a 3.31 grade-point average (GPA) for the spring semester.

"I want to thank Dr. Daniel J. White, Brandi Stuart and the UCF Athletic Department for giving me the opportunity to continue leading the women's soccer program," Roberts Sahaydak said. "Our accomplishments over the last five years would not have been possible without the support this program receives. I'm grateful for every day that I spend as part of the UCF Family, and I'm excited to continue growing the program in the years to come."

UCF Soccer features 11 returning players who clocked time in at least 10 matches last year. Among those returners include American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year Vera Varis and Rookie of the Year Dina Orschmann, along with all-rookie team selection Stefanie Sanders.
