FROM THE PRESSER
On Monday, UCF head coach Josh Heupel addressed the media at his weekly press conference, first answering questions about impending weather on its way to North Carolina this weekend.

“All I know is that we’re preparing and practicing like we’re in game week mode,” he said. “It’s something that’s completely out of our control. We’re obviously concerned with everybody in that area. With the potential of the hurricane moving in, you’re always concerned about people’s safety first and foremost. But you have no idea what’s ultimately going to end up happening, so you just go ahead and prepare as is.”

Heupel then spoke about the win over South Carolina State, talked about the upcoming matchup with the Tar Heels and addressed The American’s success in week two.

“Power 6 football is real,” he said. “It’s not just one week or one season. The teams in this conference go out and win ball games against other conferences every single year. If you look at not just what this program did a year ago, but others in this conference, it’s something that happens year in and year out. It’s really high level football.”
