ORLANDO - UCF dropped its final A-Sun volleyball match, falling 3-0 (30-24, 30-26, 30-26) to Jacksonville on Sunday night. UCF's next match is the first round of the Atlantic Sun tournament on November 19. The Golden Knights fall to 8-14 overall and 5-5 in the league while Jacksonville improves to 12-11 and 8-2 in the A-Sun.

UCF took an early 5-2 lead behind the serving of Tanya Jarvis. Jarvis recorded two of her career-high six of aces in the run. JU then went on a 15-4 run to take a 17-9 lead. UCF would score seven of the next 10 points to close the gap to 20-17 before a 3-0 JU run gave the Dolphins a 23-17 cushion. JU held on for a 30-24 win in game one, recording 17 kills in the game holding UCF to a .139 percentage.

In the second game, JU had a pair of 5-0 runs early to take a 17-12 lead before Jarvis went back to serve. She added three more aces and a kill in a 6-0 run, giving the Knights an 18-17 lead. JU scored four of the next six points, taking a 21-19 lead before a 5-0 run gave the visitors a 30-26 game two win. With JU up 13-11 in the third game, an 8-1 run by the Dolphins left UCF facing a 21-12 deficit. The two teams exchanged mini runs before Jarvis again rallied the Knights behind the service line, lifting the Knights to a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 27-23, but the Knights would get no closer as JU took game three 30-26.

Jacksonville was led by Eva Stoilova's 17 kills while Lindsay Ward added eight kills and seven blocks. Petya Borisova added 11 digs for the visitors.

Schanelle Neiderworder paced the Golden Knights with 10 kills and a .320 attack percentage. Katie Kohnen recorded a game-high 12 digs while Michelle Spaleta and Tanya Jarvis chipped in 10 apiece. Jarvis moved into 8th place in career digs and currently has 862 in her career. Amanda Stoutjesdyk recorded eight kills and six blocks in the match.

The Golden Knights will be in action again in the Atlantic Sun tournament in the first round on November 19.
