ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) - UCF and Louisville have announced a home-and-home series between the two schools' football programs.

The Knights will travel to Louisville on Sept. 18, 2021. The Cardinals will visit Spectrum Stadium for a contest vs. UCF on Sept. 17, 2022.

UCF and Louisville have met just twice on the gridiron in the past.

The Cardinals took a 42-21 victory in 1985 when the Knights played at their NCAA Division II level. It was UCF's first-ever contest vs. an NCAA Division I-A (now FBS) team.

UCF's victory in the series is one of the most memorable in school history. The Knights traveled to No. 6 Louisville on Oct. 18, 2013 for an American Athletic Conference contest. After trailing 28-7, UCF scored 24 straight points to take a 31-28 lead. The Cardinals scored with 3:00 remaining in the contest to go up 35-31. But Blake Bortles led the Knights on a game-winning touchdown drive, capped by a 2-yard scoring strike to Jeff Godfrey, to lift UCF to a 38-35 win. It was UCF's first-ever victory over a Top 10 team.

The following is a current look at UCF's future non-conference opponents:

2018 - 9/8 vs South Carolina State; 9/15 at North Carolina; 9/21 vs Florida Atlantic; 9/29 vs Pittsburgh

2019 - 9/7 at FAU; 9/14 vs Stanford; 9/21 at Pittsburgh

2020 - Week 1 vs North Carolina; 9/19 at Georgia Tech

2021 - 9/18 at Louisville

2022 - 9/17 vs Louisville

2023 - 9/9 at Texas

2024 - 9/21 at North Carolina

2025 - 9/20 vs North Carolina
