ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF may have already accomplished its major team goal of winning back-to-back league titles. On Wednesday, however, it picked up several postseason awards from the American Athletic Conference, highlighted by sophomore cornerback Jacoby Glenn (Prichard, Ala.) being voted as the Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Overall, the Knights had five student-athletes on the All-American Athletic Conference First Team, marking the third straight year they placed at least five players on a league's first team.

Jacoby Glenn
-First UCF freshman or sophomore to ever earn offensive or defensive player of the year status by a conference
-UCF's first conference defensive player of the year since Kemal Ishmael earned the nod in Conference USA in 2012
-The Knights' fourth conference defensive player of the year overall (Glenn, Ishmael, Bruce Miller twice in 2009 and 2010)
-It is the 10th time a Knight received conference player of the year status (first year in a league was 2002)
-Was on the All-AAC First Team last year as well, along with earning a spot on the freshman team
-Ranks third in the nation with seven interceptions and third with 18 passes defended
-Seven picks are one shy of tying the UCF single-season record
-His interceptions came against Penn State, Missouri, BYU, Tulane, Temple, SMU and East Carolina
-In UCF history, is sixth with nine interceptions

Clayton Geathers
-Senior Captain
-Third career postseason conference award (2011 C-USA All-Freshman Team, 2013 All-AAC Second Team)
-Registered first-career sack this year, and has a personal-best 6.0 tackles for loss
-Second on the team with 83 tackles and nine break-ups
-Has started 51 straight games, and has played in 52 games overall as a Knight (one shy of tying the school record)
-Posted at least four tackles in 11 of 12 games in 2014
-Helped guide UCF to ranking third in the country in total defense this season
-Ranks third all-time at UCF with 369 tackles

Breshad Perriman
-Second conference postseason award (2011 C-USA All-Freshman Team)
-UCF's first wide receiver to be named to a league's first team since Mike Sims-Walker in 2006
-Career-highs with 41 catches, 906 yards and nine touchdowns
-Has a streak of 30 straight games with a reception, tied for the fifth longest streak in UCF history
-Also has a streak of seven consecutive games with a touchdown catch, the longest streak since 1992
-Ranks fourth in the nation with 22.1 yards per catch this year, which also would be UCF's single-season record
-Forty-one percent of his catches have gone for at least 20 yards in 2014
-Currently holds the career yards-per-catch record at 19.86
-Helped give UCF back-to-back conference titles by hauling in a 51-yard Hail Mary on the last play of the regular season to topple East Carolina on Dec. 4, 32-30

Terrance Plummer
-Senior captain
-Voted on to the first team for the second straight season
-Served as a Bronko Nagurski and Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week (second season in a row he was a national weekly award winner) by having 17 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a break-up in the win over BYU
-His 3.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss in 2014 are career-highs
-Is eighth all-time in career tackles at UCF with 327
-Needs eight tackles in the bowl game to become the first Knight since 1990-92 (Rick Hamilton) to have three consecutive seasons with at least 100 tackles

William Stanback
-As a true freshman, was on the 2013 All-AAC Second Team behind former teammate Storm Johnson, and has moved up to the first team this season
-Played around injuries to set career-highs with 659 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground in nine games played
-Has three 100-yard rushing performances in 2014 (Bethune-Cookman, UConn and East Carolina)
-Had a rushing touchdown in six straight games played
-Also collected 11 receptions with two scores

Brandon Alexander
-A starter since his true freshman season, this is his first postseason accolade from a conference
-Has a career-high 70 tackles and two forced fumbles, and tied a personal-best with three picks
-Started 37 straight games (42 starts overall)
-A two-time nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, which is given to the nation's best player who started as a walk-on
-Posted double-digit tackles this year against Penn State and BYU, and had interceptions vs. Houston, Tulane and Tulsa

Jaryl Mamea
-In just his second year at UCF, earns his first conference postseason honor
-Became the first Knight since 2009 to have three sacks in a game when he accomplished the feat at Houston
-Delivered sacks against Penn State, USF and East Carolina as well
-Shattered career-highs in every category this year
-Helped UCF rank fifth in the nation in rushing defense

Thomas Niles
-First conference postseason honor of his career
-Started the season with a sack in his first five games, and had a school-record streak of a sack in six straight games dating back to last year
-Has a career-high 44 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 11.0 tackles for loss
-Although not an official statistic, has at least 11 quarterback hurries as well
-Helped UCF rank fifth in the nation in rushing defense

Torrian Wilson
-This is the third season he received a spot on a postseason squad (2011 C-USA All-Freshman Team, 2012 All-C-USA Second Team)
-Only offensive lineman this year to start all 12 games
-Has 41 career starts, and has started 20 in a row dating back to last year
-In 2014, has helped the offense gel as the season has rolled along, including blocking for a ground game that has posted at least 130 rushing yards in each of the last six games, while UCF has a passing touchdown in every game this year
