Tate Concludes Round Two of NCAA Regional

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. ( – UCF men’s golfer, Kyler Tate moved up four spots after the second round of the NCAA Myrtle Beach Regional after he shot 73(+1) Tuesday afternoon.

Tate’s two round total of 149(+5) puts him tied for 50th.  

The senior started the day well with another one-under on the front nine for the second-straight day. A pair of bogies on the back was an improvement from Tate’s first round as he finished the back nine, two-over par.

After another birdie on a par five, Tate is still averaging 4.75 strokes per par five and is two-under on all par-fives for both rounds.

Tate will tee off at 9:31 a.m., Wednesday morning for the final round of the regional and as a Knight.

Eighty-one teams and 45 individuals were selected to compete at one of six regional championship sites. Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 13-15.  Thirteen teams and ten individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams.  The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
