Melville in Japan - Match Recaps

JAPAN (UCFKnights.com) – UCF Volleyball’s McKenna Melville was selected for the US Collegiate National Team’s tour of Japan from May 19-30. The Eagan, Minn., native will take part in six matches against various teams across Japan.

Below is an update on how the Knights’ outside hitter has fared in her matches.
MAY 22 – US CNT 3, Nippon Sport Science University 2
• Totaled seven kills on 14 attempts with no errors to hit .500.
• Recorded 15 digs.
• Notched one ace on eight serves.
• Blocked one attack as Team USA recorded 22 rejections.

MAY 23 – US CNT 1, Japan U20 3
• Posted three kills from 15 attacks.
• Had nine digs.
• Picked up one service ace on seven serves.

MAY 24 - US CNT 1, Japan World University Games 2
• Had one kill on one attack for a 1.000 hitting percentage.
• Served twice.

MAY 26 - US CNT 1, Japan U20 3
• Drove home seven kills on 18 swings to hit .390
• Blocked a pair of attacks to finish with nine points.
• Recorded 10 digs and served five times. 

MAY 28 - US CNT 1, Okayama Seaguls
• Had four attacks.
• Notched four digs and a pair of serves.
• Started the fourth set.
