Marcellus Bowman joined the staff at UCF as Assistant Director of Sport Performance in the spring of 2019, working with the football team.
He came to Orlando following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant with Auburn Athletics. Prior to working with the Tigers football team, where he earned a Master's degree, Bowman spent time as a personal trainer and nutrition coach.
Prior to that Bowman played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. He was a linebacker for both teams from 2010 to 2015.
Bowman had a brief stint as a member of the Denver Broncos as a strong safety in 2010.
A graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts degree from 2009 where he played safety for the Eagles, Bowman is certified as a performance enhancement specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, he's a certified nutrition coach by the International Board of Nutrition & Fitness Coaching, a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength & Conditioning Association and is a Certified Level 1 Nutrition Coach by Precision Nutrition.
