GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) -- Freshman Elizabeth Moon finished tied for runner-up honors at the Florida Gators Invitational Sunday. As a team, the Knights were seventh after the three-round event, held at Mark Bostick Golf Course.

Moon, who is currently ranked No. 87 in the nation according to Golfstat, was just one stroke off the pace of Tennessee's Micheala Willaims, who was 5-under for the day and finished the tournament -4. Moon carded a third-round 68 (-2) to finish 4-under for the tournament. Moon carded three birdies in her final round and just one bogey. She was in the top six of both Par 3 and Par 4 scoring. Moon defeated nine Top 100 golfers and eight who were ranked ahead of her in the most recent rankings.

Sophomore Ana Laura Collado climbed the leaderboard by 10 spots Sunday. Her final round score of even par left her in a tie for 14th at +3 for the three rounds of the tournament.

Maria Balcazar (T-44th, +10), Alyssa Lamoureux (T-55th, +14) and Chinatsu Kobayashi (T-63rd, +19) rounded out the UCF lineup.

The Knights are back in action again April 8-9 at the Brickyard Collegiate in Macon, Ga. That tournament will serve as the Knights' final tune-up before the The American Championship.
