Coulter joined the UCF Men's Soccer coaching staff in August of 2018. Coulter adds a breadth of playing experience and will work primarily with the goalkeepers.
Early in his playing career, Coulter played for Dundalk U20 side in 2008/09 before moving to the United States to play at the University of San Diego. After two seasons at USD, the keeper transferred to East Tennessee State where he excelled in the conference earning All-Tournament team under then head coach, Scott Calabrese. With the Bucs, Coulter was also named Goalkeeper of the year twice and earned First Team All-South recognition.
After graduating from ETSU, he returned to Ireland in the summer of 2014 and signed for Athlone Town where he played in all of Athlone’s remaining league games.
In 2015 he joined Sligo Rovers and later returned to returned to Athlone Town in 2016. After finishing his stint with Athlone, he signed for Longford Town where he made 12 league appearances for the squad in the Premier Division.
Ryan left Longford at the end of 2016 and signed for Drogheda United in March 2017. After his time at United Park, Coulter joined the Bray Wanderers.
As a coach, Coulter was the academy goalkeeper coach with the Wanderers working with the young keepers in the professional club and has gained experience working with the Irish international development squads.
Coulter holds a UEFA B Goalkeeping license as well as a FAI National C license.
