Burleson began his career at UCF as an assistant coach in July 2016. He is works primarily with baseball, while also aiding the track (sprinters and distance) and women's tennis programs.
Prior to coming to Orlando, Burleson spent three seasons working at Penn State. Burleson served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Florida aiding the baseball, softball and football strength and conditioning coach during the 2012 campaign. He worked as a graduate assistant at South Carolina where he worked with all sports from 2010-2012.
He graduated from South Carolina in 2012 with a master's degree in Physical Education.
Burleson is SCCC and National Association of Speed and Expolosion (NASE) certified.
