MEMPHIS (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF men's basketball team made its way to Memphis for the 2019 Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Championship on Thursday, preparing for an unknown opponent in Friday's quarterfinal.

UCF traveled from Orlando to Memphis, took in a team meal and practiced at nearby Rhodes College. The Knights then finally found out their opponent, as fifth seeded Memphis defeated 12th seeded Tulane 83-68 in First Round action at the FedEx Forum.

The Knights and the Tigers will play in the second game of the day on Friday, following top seeded Houston and ninth seeded UConn's quarterfinal game at 12 p.m. ET. UCF and Memphis will tip-off at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET.

The two teams split the season series with each team winning on its home floor. The Knights have won just one game against the Tigers in Memphis, a victory at FedEx Forum last season.
