Hillary Barrow enters her fourth season as an assistant coach after rejoining the Knights in August 2012. She serves as the recruiting coordinator and camp director.

In Barrow's second year of calling pitches, the 2015 UCF pitching staff posted the lowest ERA in the nation. Shelby Turnier posted the lowest individual ERA in the country and the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year became UCF's first NFCA All-American. The UCF coaching staff repeated as The American Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Knights to the first regular season and conference tournament championships in program history. The back-to-back conference champions made the first consecutive NCAA appearances in program history, finishing as the runner-up in the Tallahassee Regional.

Barrow took over calling pitches during the 2014 season, and the Knights had the ninth-lowest ERA in the country and were the only team with two pitchers who recorded over 200 strikeouts. The UCF coaching staff earned the first coaching accolades in program history as they were named the 2014 American Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year following UCF's first regular-season championship during the inaugural campaign of the American Athletic Conference in 2014.

Barrow's responsibilities also include overseeing the team's academics. Mackenzie Audas became UCF's first Capital One Academic All-American in 2015. The Knights recorded the highest female team GPA in 2012 and had a program-best 15 players named to The American All-Academic Team in 2014.

The only UCF Softball player to become a coach at UCF and win a conference title as both a player and a coach, Barrow was a member of the UCF softball team from 2007-10, and is UCF's all-time leader in sacrifice flies. She also ranks in the top in several major offensive categories including games (5th), runs scored (8th), doubles (2nd), RBIs (5th) and walks (7th).

Aside from those career records, Barrow was a key member of the 2008 Conference USA Championship team and also the 2010 NCAA Tournament team. Barrow was named to the All-Tournament team in both of those seasons, proving her worth as a clutch player.

After graduating UCF in 2010 with a major in communications and a minor in digital media, Barrow spent 2011 as an assistant softball coach at Saint Cloud High School.
